To make the museum's collection more accessible, the Henry is digitizing the 25,000 objects in the collection and putting this information online for you!

As we are constantly adding new information and new objects, the database is a living, changing entity. Object records evolve through research, new scholarship, and an ongoing dialogue and interaction with those who make use of the objects.

Our documentation has been created through contributions by visiting scholars, artists, and new research by Henry curators. We encourage you to contribute your expertise. Send your comments with accession numbers and references to

QUICK SEARCH: To search the collection, enter one or more words in the search box above and click the button marked SEARCH. This search explores all fields in the database and returns records with the most relevant at the top.

NARROWING YOUR SEARCH: By clicking Advanced Search (located at the top of the page) you can search multiple terms in specific fields of the database. This can help narrow your search results if you are looking for a particular object.

You can save a group of objects you'd like to look at later or share with a friend. To get started, create a user account by clicking on Login (located at the top of the page).

In the section marked Register enter your email address, and the system will email you a password that you can use to login. Once you are logged in you can visit the Manage Favorites page to create a new group, make an existing group public so others can view it, or access groups that others have chosen to share with you. Your email address is used only to secure your user account and password; it will not be distributed or sold. For more information see the Henry's Privacy Policy (located at the bottom of the page).
